Every year the specialized website about jobs and careers, glassdoor, publishes the top companies to work for, as ranked by employees.
Usually, it’s not difficult to predict who are going to make the list. The big Tech companies like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google… etc, are usually safe bets when it comes to best work environments. Last year Google got the first spot.
But this year, things has drastically changed. Google is still on the list but not on the first place, and who made it to the top? That’s a big surprise since it’s the first time this company gets ranked. It just jumped directly to the first place!
Is it the dark horse story over again? Yes, it is!
But I wouldn’t spoil to you already which company is the best.

Apple, the big tech company which is employing more than 100,000 employees has been reviewed by its employees as being “One of the best Silicon Valleys at present”. It is offering competitive salaries and benefits, interesting projects, smart colleagues and most of all a comfortable workplace.

QuickTrip provides a quick fix for those on the go. It’s a nice place on the roads to refuel yourself with food and gasoline.
It’s appreciated by its employees for the pay and bonuses it offers. Also, The flexible hours are an important factor for the workers happiness.
The principal cons are the work can get overwhelming, and remaining on your feet all day is not a fun game.

In this global risk and business consulting firm, the company culture is one of the best. It’s described as “A truly collaborative organization filled with smart people who genuinely care about the professional growth of their peers and want to help each other.”
This should always exist in the work environment, but in fact, it’s rare. So who wouldn’t appreciate it?

The purpose driven work with wonderful people always leads to meaningful impact. The major disadvantage, the organization is so large that it’s often slow moving.

The major con, you can’t be late AT ALL, there are not many excuses available. Saying “it was raining” don’t get employees out of trouble.

Another Non-profit organization and the best one according to the ranking. This one’s purpose is to fight cancer and has made significant contributions to understanding, diagnosing, and treating cancer.
It’s a large organization, which can be intimidating at first, but with all the driven workers everyone finds their own opportunities to grow.
